At the end of an extreme trial by fire, Job expressed a profound conclusion about God, saying, “I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You” (Job 42:2). There is nothing impossible with God and nothing escapes His sight. This can be good or bad, depending on your perspective.
You can fool people but you can’t fool God. It is a sad reality that many have become masters at fooling people, taking advantage of them and using them to their own profit; “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple” (Romans 16:18). However, God is not fooled… ever! He knows what you are thinking before you think or do, and what you do under the cover of darkness, He sees as brightly as the noon-day sun. So, if you think you are fooling God, you have reason to fear; “For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). On the other hand, if you are a blood-washed Christian (Revelation 7:14), “the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). As a Christian, you do not have to fear because “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
Question: are you fooling yourself? Do you really think you can cover your own sins? “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16). Why remain in sin and fear? God can save you if you are blood-washed.
