As the year 2016 comes to a close, we say goodbye to time well spent. The Jacksboro church of Christ has grown, both numerically and spiritually. We are going forward with conviction and resolve into an uncertain future with confidence in Christ.
We have said tearful farewells to a number of faithful saints and loved ones with the hope that we will see them again. We have overcome tragedy and trauma by standing together and leaning upon each other for strength. We have welcomed new babes into the family of God and been edified by the restoration of fallen saints. And, arm in arm, we can face the year to come, should God bless us with another to do His will.
It has been a privilege to serve the Jacksboro church as an evangelist this past year and Kelly and I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the body of Christ in this location. We are truly building more than friendships for life; we are building family ties for eternity in the house of God.
As we leave the old behind and embrace the new, I invite you to search the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11), pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), love the brethren (1 Peter 1:22), and anticipate Heaven (2 Timothy 4:8), for the pilgrim sojourn we tread in this life is only a preparation for wonders beyond our imagination.
We hope to see you there.
In Love and In Christ,
Jeff and Kelly, and Dad (Charles)
